A lot of Pe-2 airplanes were equipped with ski undercarriage during the winter of 1941-42. Reliability of ski fastening and durability of the lockers were sufficient. But the speed of plane reduced by 34km per hour. Besides that the original Pe-2 had high cross-country ability and maneuverability even in deep snow. Therefore the ski undercarriage was not widely used. This kit includes parts for the assembly of one plastic model kit. The set requires both glue and paint in order to be completed.
