The Hobby Sense Story

The Hobby Sense Story

Our

Story

Hobby Sense was born out of a desire and passion to start a new local retail business in Canada, bringing my interest and love of scale plastic and wooden modeling from Central Europe. I had little time to build models back home, but the interest never left me. So when the opportunity to move to Canada presented itself, Winnipeg seemed like the best choice for a new life and a new business. My wife and children brought their love of puzzles and traditional embroidery crafts which we have also featured since our grand opening five years ago. After these five amazing years from being behind and in front of the counter of Hobby Sense, we are looking forward to another five years.

Our Mission

Our store’s mission has never changed, but has developed over our first 4 years in business. It has always been an extension of my family’s love and passion for hand-made crafts and fun for the whole family. From the very beginning we sought out only the very best in Plastic and Wooden models, Puzzles and Embroidery arts from manufactures all around the word. To this, with the amazing loyalty and shared knowledge of our customers we’ve added the very best in modeling and craft tools, paints, weathering and display products rarely found in one location. Our mission four years ago and to this day is to bring to you, our valued customers the very best in quality, price, in-store and online customer service.
